SCM and Morbidelli

CNC machine repair, servicing and installation.

Four kinds of work, all done by the same engineer. Pick the one you need, or ring and tell me what's happening.

Breakdowns

It's stopped. Ring me.

Tell me the make, the model and what it's doing, or what's on the screen. If it's a setup or software problem we can often clear it on the phone there and then.

If it needs hands on it, I come out, find the fault and tell you what it is and what it will cost before I start. Then it's repaired, recalibrated and run before I leave.

  • Phone diagnosis first
  • Fault and cost explained before work starts
  • Recalibrated and run before I leave

Servicing

Find it before it stops you.

Most breakdowns give you a warning first: a bit of play, a drift in accuracy, a noise that wasn't there last month. A service is where those get found.

Lubrication, alignment and calibration, belts and drives, electrical checks, emergency stops and guarding. Anything worn gets shown to you, so you can decide before it decides for you.

  • Worn parts shown to you before they fail

Installs

In, level, and cutting.

A new machine, a second-hand one, or one that's moving across the workshop. I take the old one out of service properly, put the new one in and commission it to the manufacturer's guidelines.

While I'm at it you get a condition report: anything I find, and how soon it matters.

  • Decommissioning of the old machine
  • Installation and commissioning
  • A condition report on what I find

Training

Your operators, on your machine.

Training is done on the machine you own, with the work you actually run, so your operators are producing as soon as possible.

I also give CAD/CAM support for SCM and Morbidelli machining centres. Other machines on request.

Other makes

Hua Hua machines, supplied and supported.

Some of the machines in the photos on this site are made by Hua Hua and imported from China. I supply them, and I support them once they're running.

I also support other makes that use Syntec controllers. If that's what is on your machine, ring me with the make and model.

Have this ready when you ring.

Four things that save time on the phone and, more often than you'd think, save the visit.

  1. 01

    The make and model

It's on the plate on the machine.

  2. 02

    What it's doing

Or the error on the screen, word for word.

  3. 03

    When it started

And anything that changed just before.

  4. 04

    Where the machine is

So I can tell you when I can be there.
